Area of Study: Social and Behavioral Sciences

Awarded to Ventura County residents who have graduated from any Ventura County high school and are enrolled or will enroll in an accredited four-year college/university or accredited community college to major in Social and Behavioral Sciences. A minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 is required. Applicants must demonstrate dedication to civic engagement, social initiatives, and/or community service. Preference given to applicants of the following ethnicities: Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Asian, and Pacific Islander.

Required Essay: In 1000 words or less, tell us about your role in community activism or community service. What prompted your volunteer activities and what are you doing to make a difference in your community?
