College Major/Area of Study: STEM related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

Awarded to applicants who will be graduating or have graduated from a high school in Ventura County. Applicants must be enrolling in a 4-year university or transferring from a community college to a four-year university. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA. Preference in the selection process will be given to applicants who are the first in their family to attend college.

Essay Required: In 300-500 words please discuss how your interest in the sciences developed (e.g., through a favorite teacher or life experience) and why you think a STEM major is the right fit for you.
