Science Matters Scholarship Fund

College Major: Teaching in Science Education (Elementary, Middle, or High School levels)

Awarded to Ventura County residents who are graduating from a Ventura County high school, or who have graduated from a Ventura County high school and will enroll or are enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university. Applicants must be pursuing a career in teaching (elementary, middle school, or high school level). Applicants planning to teach at an elementary level must have a strong interest in science education. Applicants planning to teach science at the middle school or high school levels may be majoring in chemistry, physics, biology, or geology. Prior recipients may reapply for consideration in successive years. Applicants must have a minimum 3.2 unweighted GPA and demonstrate financial need.
