Rincon Environment and Climate Heroes (REACH) Scholarship Fund
Area of Study/Interest: Environmental Fields
Awarded to residents of Ventura County who are graduating high school students, community college students, or college freshman, sophomores, or juniors who previously graduated from a high school in Ventura County. Applicant must be enrolled or intend to enroll full time at an accredited California college. Applicants must have minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA. Preference given to applicants who are first generation college students.
Required Essay: In 100 words, please describe why you are pursuing a career in the environmental field and what you have done, or plan to do to prepare for a career to preserve and protect the environment.
Recipients may be invited to participate in one or more sessions to meet Rincon team members, connect with summer interns (as timing allows), and learn more about the work Rincon does. They will also be encouraged to keep Rincon’s internship program in mind, and students generally apply during their junior or senior year of college or shortly after graduation.
