NewCo Foundation Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Fund

Awarded to Ventura County residents who are graduating high school seniors from public high schools in Ventura County who will enroll in an accredited community college, a 4-year college or university, or a vocational/trade/technical school. Applicants must have experience operating their own business or a minimum of 60 internship hours in a Student Led Enterprise (SLE) Program. ASB, team/club fundraisers, and student store activities do not meet this qualification. Applicants must provide a description of their experience operating their own business or as an SLE intern. SLE interns must provide the the name of the Program/Faculty Advisor. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of two Career Technical Education (CTE) classes. Preference given to applicants who identify as female or non-binary. Preference given to first generation college students.

Award amounts: $10,000 for awardees attending a 4-year college or university, $1000 for awardees attending community college or vocational/trade/technical school. Award amounts are based on the academic status selected in the general application. If the applicant submits proof of enrollment for a lower academic status level than selected in the general application, the award amount will be decreased.
